The Viridian Gym is the eighth and last gym of Kanto, it's located in Viridian City and its champion is Giovanni. Upon defeating him, you will receive the Earth Badge. Giovanni's Mewtwo is level 85 so you might want a Magnemite with the sturdy ability to serve as paralyze fodder.
